S1E11 - Two Million Hours with Zac and Giac: a show about nothing

In this lit episode, I am joined by Zac Smith and Giacomo Pope where we talk about nothing and everything. Music genres, literary genres, and even how a genre's name comes into being is discussed in this 2hr long round table.

Zac Smith flexes his knowledge of linguistics and genre. Giacomo Pope goes off on small presses along with an insane grasp on what shoegaze-y indie rock actually is and was. Together we discuss how writers act due to social media and how the artform has given way to clout-chasing.

Fun things to look forward to in this episode are pet names, Spotify royalties, and how I rejected one of Giac's submissions to Maudlin house 20 minutes before interviewing him on his last appearance of Textual Healing.

To get a better vibe of their music tastes check out their Giac's Spotify playlist: We Can All be Sad Bois and his artist page that includes some of Zac's music: Be Softly.****

Zac Smith's most recent book is available at Clash Books and Giacomo Pope's latest book is available at Ghost City Press.
